1. It is present in all parts of the value chain – generation, transmission and distribution – it has distribution lines of over 1.66 lakh km and has projects coming up in Qatar and Oman
2. Has a total generating capacity of nearly 7000 MW and has over 4500 employees and serves 4 million customers

3. Serves the Shikoku island with a network of over 1.3 lakh kms of transmission lines and is considered one of Nagoya’s influential 4 companies.
4. Has done forward integration through subsidiaries which make electronic equipments, cable media  and also is an internet provider.

Weaknesses

1.Focussed mainly in a small region in Japan – just the island of Shikoku

2.Its nuclear reactor at Ikata is closed due to public opposition
