Strengths

1.  A supermarket chain with around 25 stores in Wisconsin
2. Partnership with Supervalu and Mehmert store services for design and operation of stores
3. It has a good brand name in the area since it was one of the largest grocery chains in the area

4.  Full service available in the stores creates customer satisfaction

Weaknesses

1. No online order facility available

2. Declining number of stores. There was around 70 stores operating in the Sentry banner but the number has reduced to around 25 in the recent past

3. The stores are only present in a few localities

Opportunities

1. Stores are considering geographical expansion to the neighboring markets

2. The new large stores coming in certain areas with more than 35000 foot capacity will attract new customers

3. There are a lot of private label brands like Essential everyday, Super Chill Soda, Wild Harvest etc. which has the ability to expand to other products as well

1.  Financial troubles of the parent company Supervalu can affect the performance of the retailer

2.  Competition from other multinational retailers

3. The store is perceived to be in declining phase since many of the stores under its chain has changed banners.
