Definition: International Securities Market Association (ISMA)
It is a trade association in Zurich, Switzerland which is regulated by its self. It basically deals with systematic as well as complaint trading in International Securities market. ISMA is a designated investment exchange as acknowledged by FAS(Financial Service Authority). FSA regulates the U.K.’s financial service industry.
The trading procedure in International bond market has been more standardized with the help of ISMA. It has its presence in 49 countries with 430 members representing all major firms active in international securities market.
In July 2005, International Primary Market Association and ISMA merged and together they became International Capital Market Association.
