Definition: Global Financial Stability Report

It is a semiannual report which focuses on financial health of developed and emerging markets. It is an International Monetary Fund report which focuses on risks existing in the financial markets and the participant’s access to capital.

The report in October, 2014 found that the global economic recovery relies heavily on monetary policies of the central banks and the monetary stimulus still remains a critical way of funding cash requirements. Also, the long term of monetary easing may also increase risk taking ability of the market participants.
