Definition: Europe, Middle East And Africa - EMEA

Europe, the Middle East and Africa are abbreviated as EMEA. Sometimes India is included in the same and called as EMEIA. It is used in common for government, marketing and business purposes Mostly North American companies, uses this abbreviation as their major working in these countries.

A lot of companies use this as a mechanism to divide the global geographic regions as a part of their business plan. The division of the company that operates in the EMEA will generally be run by a separate executive and focus on the international brand that would cater towards the needs of the EMEA region.

It is simply a terms used to refer to the countries present in the Middles East in Asis, African countries and Europe by businesses, governments, financial institutions etc.
