Definition: Metamorphosis Stage

Metamorphosis Stage is the last stage (3rd stage) of socialization process in which a new employee changes himself/herself to adjust to the job, new groups or organization. Whatever problems are encounter/ entry stage (compares expectation to the reality of the organization), the new member changes or goes through the last stage called the metamorphosis stage.

Management prefers to rely on collective, formal, serial, fixed and divestiture socialization as this replaces the old behavior of the new employee with the new desired behavior.
