Definition: Skills Training

Skills Training is essentially provided to newly hired employees to provide them the knowledge and train them with the relevant skill sets required to perform the job.

Also, when an organization undergoes a major restructuring in terms of the systems and processes used, the current employees will have to be retrained in order to operate in the new environment and therefore, will have to be provided with the relevant skill training.

The types of skill training could be training to develop communication skills, supervisory skills, business acumen skills, industry specific technical skills etc.
