Definition: Leave Sharing

Every company has a fixed leave system which means that each employee is entitled to a fixed number of different kind of leaves e.g. paid leave, sick leave, vacation leave etc. Now Leave Sharing is a special scheme in which employees can pass on or transfer their personal or sick leaves to other employee/ common pool from which employees who actually might need can take it.

This kind of a plan can be risky sometimes as employees may misuse it under the provision. But overall it has a very well thought utility as it can actually help an employee in need and can boost employee morale.

It’s designed mainly to aid employees facing major surgeries or other medical emergencies or living in areas affected by natural disasters.
