Definition: Street Price

Street price refers to the actual retail price that a customer pays after discounts and sale promotions, that is lower than the listed or advertised price.

Street prices are the prices available after discount on the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Street price can also refer to something which you might purchase from some street corner (usually illegally).

The discounts that Flipkart gives on, say a book (like 20% off), might reduce its price from Rs.400 to Rs.320. The street price of the book is thus, Rs.320, although its listed price is Rs.400.
