Definition: Brainstorming

Brainstorming is the process of generating a variety of possible solutions to a problem by the method of group discussion where each individual contributes his or her ideas and then others build on these ideas.

The brainstorming session is followed by evaluation session where the analysis, discussion and criticism of the ideas is done so as to converge on the most optimum alternative.
