Definition: Delta Model Hax

It is a new approach to strategy that was proposed by Dean Wilde and ArnoldoHax. The focus in the conventional strategy was on competitive advantage and competition. This focus shifts to customers with the new Delta model.

The model proposes that customers are the central focus of strategy. It proposes that companies should not focus on competitors or on products, but should think from the customers’ point of view.


The diagram shows the three different strategic positions that a company can take: System Lock-in, Best Product, Total Customer Solutions. The diagram also shows the examples of different companies and where they are placed on the triangle.
