STRATPORT stands for STRATegic PORTfolio. Larreche and Srinivasan in year (1981 and 1982) developed a decision support system with the help of the STRATPORT model. This model helps the firm in taking the decision about allocating the financial resources of the company across various options available, i.e. it helps in making a proper portfolio for the available finances.
This is an online computerized model which helps the top line managers and executives to take the decision of allocation of resources. The model is mathematical in nature and some small calculations leads to the effective decision making.
