Definition: OODA Loop Boyd

It was a strategy founded by fighter pilot colonel John Boyd. It is widely used in military as well as business operations.

It basically gives the decision making cycle in any situation

OODA stands for: - observe-orient-decide-act

So whoever completes this loop first has the ultimate advantage over its competitor.

The second O, orientation – as the repository of our genetic heritage, cultural tradition, and previous experiences – is the most important part of the O-O-D-A loop since it shapes the way we observe, the way we decide, the way we act.

The faster we operate and in a particular rhythm there is more chance of winning any combat may it is in a battlefield or the business.
