Definition: Quote

In business terms quote is the price or value at which you have offered to provide the services/products to the consumers. In business when there are multiple offers than the consumers decide on the basis of quotes provided by the different suppliers.

Quote basically comes after the Opportunity or Lead Qualification in the business cycle. Quote has the list of products with their prices and quantity. It also has fields related to the dates which track and follow up with customer.

Once the quote is accepted, the Order is made which is the real source of revenue for a business.

Eg: If I say that my quote for the given project is 25000/-. This means that I am ready to complete this project on a payment of 25000/-
