Definition: Management Contracting

Management Contracting is the process by which a firm legally obtains the operation control on behalf of another company. This can be in two ways-

  1. The operation control of the company itself
  2. The operational control as a franchise or a license owner

The major trait of such a contract includes full or partial control over the proceedings .It may cover technical operations, employee management etc. The term for such agreements is usually above 20 years.
