Definition: Marketing Intelligence

Marketing Intelligence is the ‘home-work’ in terms of data collection and research that needs to be done before entering the foreign markets.

It is not just introspection but a wider variety of research based on the consumers, the competitors, the market trends, technology etc. It enables the marketing managers to explore the potentials and if possible exercise them.
