Definition: Open Gestures

This is a positive form of body language where a person does not appear to be protecting their body , and they do not have their arms folded or have their legs crossed.

This sends out very favourable signals to the prospective customer and indicates confidence to the customer, who is likely to be more favourable to the sales representative. It is believed that sales greatly depend on the body language of the sales person.

Sales persons are trained to have more open gestures during their training period to improve their sales.
