Definition: Transborder

Movement over land of goods from one country to the other country that is adjacent but in the same continent, is called transborder.

 

Because of the globalized nature of the business these, days it is often required to export or import goods, raw material from one country to the other.

 

Transborder movement of goods increase the efficiency of the economy as a whole.

 

Example

Maruti an Indian firm is producing cars in India. It is also selling these cars in adjacent countries like Nepal, Pakistan by exporting it from India. Xiaomi a Chinese company is in the business of producing phones, and is selling in India in large numbers. These companies are some of the example of the companies that are doing transborder movement of goods to conduct their business.
