Definition: Air Transport Association of America

Air Transport Association of America is now known as Airlines for America (A4A). It is the largest trade association of American airlines. It represents the voice of American airlines when lobbying congress. It was found in 1936 and since then it has played a major role in all government decisions regarding aviation industry.


Its airlines fly 27000 passenger and cargo flights daily covering 90% of the US airline traffic. It collaborates with the administration, labor, congress and member airlines to improve the air travel for everyone. It main focus is to improve safety and security of air travels.
