Definition: Supply Warehouse
A warehouse is a large commercial place in which goods or merchandises are stored. It is usually a large building that stores the goods prior to their distribution for sale. Importers, exporters, manufacturers, wholesalers, transport business and customs use them.
Supply warehouse refers to the warehouse storage facility within a warehouse management system that is part of a supply chain that controls the movement of the products from the warehouse to the suppliers or manufacturers. The transfer of the products from the warehouse to the suppliers happens through the internal logistics or the third party logistics.
The warehouse Management system keeps the stakeholders connected and acts as an interface between the players maintaining the system.
