As the name signifies, it is a service provided by the seller companies in which they pack the item in padded blankets so as to provide an extra coating such that it does not get damaged, usually on air ride vans.
Commodities include furniture, large appliances. Household goods, etc. Commodities which are delicate and easy to break are the ones which need more protection such as telecommunications equipment or large glass panels.
Keeping the cargo safe during loading, transportation and unloading is being taken care of by blanket wrapping.
