Definition: Predictive Dialing

In a predictive dialing a telephone control system will automatically calls a list of telephone numbers in a sequence. It will screen out no-answers, busy signals, answering machines and disconnected numbers while predicting at what time a human caller will be able to respond to the next call.

Predictive dialing are mostly used by telemarketing companies to approach their probable customers by predicting its availability. They are also used for other purpose such as for survey, bill payment reminder, etc. This calling should not be confused with an automatic dialing as predictive dialing is programmed to predict when a human caller is available to pick up a call.

Eg: Predictive Dialling has delivered higher efficiencies at call center which totally depends on calling their clients for business.
