Strategy for Gender Diversity Hiring
What was the overview of the project? Elaborate with some details
The company is basically trying to improve its gender ratio and my project was about benchmarking and creating a strategy for the same. Most of the FMCG companies have been struggling with the same issue and they are also taking various initiatives to improve on this front.
Share your daily routine & overall summer internship experience.
A typical day used to start with ongoing secondary research about recent initiatives and collecting primary data for benchmarking with the best practices. While wrapping up, I collected all the data in a structured format and analysed it to come up with a comprehensive solution which was finally appreciated by the top management.
How was the selection process conducted?
It was normal selection process - GD followed by Personal Interview, during our summer Internship Placement process at the campus.
What were your key learnings from the summer internship?
One of the greatest personal learning experience from the project was how to handle uncertainty without fail. Following a structured approach towards the problem can really help a lot.
Three tips would you give to your juniors
It is a great learning experience for we get exposure to the corporate world for the first time as future managers. Utilize it well because this is what you will be doing in rest of your career.
Understand the importance of networking, you will need a lot of help from your seniors and friends while doing the project and in future too.
It is one of the best chance where you can learn how to handle uncertainties as the stakes are very low during internship unlike job.
