To bring the entrepreneur inside you into limelight..........

Team Atharva brings “Sankalp” – TAPMI’s Annual B‐Plan Competition. It is intended as a platform to encourage youth to flesh out their ideas and transform them into reality that combines technology, vision and business acumen.


What you have to do:

1. Identify and select business opportunities and prepare plans for their implementation, keeping in mind the following parameters:


  • The Macro & Micro environment of the Industry
  • Market Feasibility ‐ The market potential, demand‐supply assessment proposed, marketing strategy and capacity of the project
  • Technical Feasibility ‐ The source of technology, expertise and infrastructure
  • Financial Viability ‐ Estimated cost of the project and means of finance


2.  Submit a comprehensive report constituting a detailed plan of action to unveil how this business opportunity translates into a profit‐making venture. The report must include financial projections for at least 5 years.


Important: The Plan will be evaluated on the basis of technical, financial and market feasibility, uniqueness of idea, quality of presentation and report writing.


Prizes worth:

First  prize  –  worth  Rs  50,000/‐

Second prize‐ worth Rs 35,000/‐


Rules:

Sank alp will be held in three stages.


Stage I:


In Stage I, the participants will be required to submit an executive summary of the business plan, based on which entries will be shortlisted for stage II. The executive summary should be submitted in softcopy.


The participants should register themselves online.

Stage II:


The participants short listed for stage II will have to submit the complete business plan. A soft copy of the report should be submitted. Based on the complete business plan, entries will be short listed for stage III. The soft copy should be sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Stage III:


The short listed reports will be invited for a final presentation on 18th January, 2013.


Rules:


  • A team must consist of maximum three members (students only).
  • Each team can submit only one entry.
  • Multiple entries from an institute are permissible.
  • A team should have members from the same institute.
  • No entrant can be part of more than one team.
  • The judgment of the panel will be final and binding.


Other details:

The executive summary should not exceed 4 pages including the cover page.

  • The Executive summary and the report should not reveal the identity of the participant (or institute) with the exception of the cover page.
  • All soft copies should be in .doc or .docx format
  • The file should be named in the format “Team Name_College name”
  • Format: 1.5 line spacing, font size: 12, font Type: Times New Roman and 1 inch margin on all sides.

7th November 2012 ‐ Last date for receipt of Executive Summary 21th November 2012 ‐ Announcement of stage I results

30th November 2012 ‐ Last date for Receipt of Final Plan

15th December 2012 ‐ Announcement of Finalists

18th January 2013 ‐ Final Presentation

Notes:

  • TAPMI will reimburse travel expenses up to Rs 2000.
  • The Atharva committee shall not have any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever incurred by any participant in consequence of any change, the Atharva committee will not be taken up for consideration.
  • Entries failing to meet the event timelines as specified by the Atharva Committee will not be taken up for consideration.
  • Prizes are non transferable, non re‐routable or non extendable. All prizes shall be subject to the laws of India, including tax regulations, as may be applicable for the participants.
  • The Atharva committee reserves the right to make any changes to the rules and format of the event.
  • Any changes in the deadlines mentioned above will be intimated by us.
