The decisions of the judges would be final and binding for all rounds

The details of final round and travel reimbursement details will be intimated to the qualified teams at later point of time

The finals would be held at Goa Institute of Management, Goa.

Top 6 teams from the qualification round would proceed to the final campus round.

Naming convention: TeamName_MarkASale. The submission should be in the form of ppt/pptx. Qualification would be through an online round.

Event Guidelines: A team can be a mix of first year and second year students. No participant should be a part of more than one team. All members from the team should be from same college/institute. A team must consist of exactly 3 members

Team:Rules and Regulations. They then have to justify their setup to the judges. The teams would be informed about the product assigned to them in advance to allow them to prepare the required POSM. The task is to set up the shelf in a cost effective, yet innovative way. Each team will be given a maximum of 2 hours to set up the given shelf space for a given product. The teams will have to present the presentation submitted in round 1Top 6 teams of the previous round will be called to campus for the final round. Registration Begins: 27th July 2013
The Task:
• Majority of sales for any Indian FMCG organization is through small kirana stores. There is limited scope for the customer to explore the various options. The only communication that companies have with the consumer in the stores is through shelf (window) layout, or the POSM used.

Round 2 – On Campus Finals. The submission would be in the form of a presentation, not exceeding 7 slides. Participants must describe in detail the rationale for picking a particular campaign, the pros and cons of the same. The promotion should help the product stand out of the clutter of similar products in a cost effective manner so that more customers pick up the products from the shelf. The product should not have the same name as an existing brand in the market. Cheese cubes/slices, Juice Tetra Packs, Instant Noodles. Design a special in store promotion campaign for any one of the following products to be set up in a supermarket retail store like Food Bazaar, Spencer’s, more. and the likes.
The Task:
• Supermarkets, Hypermarkets and the likes are gaining the eye of the Indian Consumer. All brands are rushing into this space and hence, there is minimum brand distinction.
