Research Smartphone demand and Social Networking adoption in developing countries

Contest Objectives

Pick any three of the following countries–

  1. India
  2. Brazil
  3. Indonesia
  4. Mexico
  5. Nigeria

And answer the following questions for the countries you picked:

  1. What are the factors that you think are influencing adoption of social networking applications or other applications (ecosystem of apps) on smartphones once customers buy a smartphone in each country.
  2. For every factor that you identified, define hypothesis on how the factor influences adoption quantitatively or qualitatively
    1. For e.g. a hypothesis could be “Customers using ‘WhatsApp’ also tend to use social networking applications”.
  3. Support your hypothesis with data sources like surveys, reports, governmental or research data.
