Nelson Mandela, once said “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”
Education not only gives people the means to a better life but also something more profound: the ability to grow and learn through one’s own experiences. The strength of a nation can often be determined by the education of its people.
India, with nearly one sixth of the world’s population, is a booming economy poised to take over as one of the world’s superpowers. Yet this glittering fact goes hand in hand with the harsh truth of abject poverty facing nearly half of the nation’s people. With 42% of the country’s population living below the international poverty line, the nation is struggling to keep up with many of the rapidly growing countries in the world.
Yes u r right my friend..its a bitter truth.India is a third largest economy in the world but about 70% population of our country is below poverty line. richers are becoming more richer and poorer are in their stagnent position. There are many initiatives taken by the government but all are wasteful due to lack of awareness among the people.People more realise on the private school than on government schools but poor people can't afford the fee of private schools. Most of the population of india livers in villages and they earn their livelihood by agriculture .population is increasing day by day but sources of earning are limited .see we are living in that country where car loan at 8% but education loan at 12% than think how we can make a better india. We Indians only sing a song "sare jahan se achchha hindostan hamara"
Yes, poverty is the root cause for everything. But what are we doing to make the situation better. Most of the our newspapers only talk about gdp growth, stock market etc. But there is a world beyond all of these and this is where real India lives. If we want to measure real progress of india then we have to make the real India better..
I think that the problem faced by third world countries are made by their own political structure....government should be take the initiative to make their country as a developed one. First they point on the education. Then only they can grown beyond the world. We should put an end to this political ruckus, bandhs, non functioning of parliament. The opposition has to be more responsible...
