Many challenges hinder development of Developing countries among which is Project Financing - one of the most important facets of project management. with high inflation and skyrocketing interests on loans/bridging finance, efforts to look out for an alternative are worth exploring.
Offshore Finance is ideal in that, when the project is declared viable and feasible, finances from abroad can be attracted at a much lower rate with favorable terms. This is what China does best, lending other countries at much lower reduced interests and then providing expertise and labor where necessary. The more options of offshore finance a manager has at his disposal, the better the project execution.

I am not sure whether financing offshore projects will be feasible at this time. Europe is in debt crisis, US has their own problems. There is sort of uncertainty in the economic world...but definitely can be a option once the economic condition improves
yes, varun is quite right. At this time, not many countries have surplus funds. There is uncertainty about where world is headed. There are opportunities available in the developing countries like nigeria, where returns can tremendous.
I think you definitely get it, there is a lot of unrest in the developed world. However, offshore investment is done by specific investors whose future investment in those countries is uncertain but they have already put huge sums of capital. so they are NOW redirect their moneys to developing countries with potential eg Nigeria.
