the gravity of the RIM's problems shows up in its share price. It has crashed to a low of just $13.12 on Friday, after trading as high as $144 in 2008 and about $70 in February this year. It was once worth almost $80 billion is now valued at barely $7 billion. I think they should sell their blackberry business. It is increasingly difficult for them to compete with likes of apple and andriod based smartphones.
RIM has to come out with very good product now, there blackberry business is not doing well at all, they tried to venture into tablet business but too didn't work out. They are known for secured services, they can venture into cloud based services..
No doubt, RIM's business is doing well in American and european markets but they are doing very well in the Indian market. They should target more and more indian market, it has potential to give boost to falling RIM's business. They need to come out with more innovative models along with more innovative blackberry plans..
With the BB7 phones and the upcoming enhancements to the Playbook its a little early to call off Blackberry. With the recent promotions on Playbook I have seen a lot of people buying playbook. In fact in one of the stores bb playbook were sold out.
