I clicked this picture on the roads of Khakhdipada Village near Jamshedpur when I went there with my college friends. Much is known about the difficulties faced by the villages in India but the poverty in this village could have moved even a stone hearted to tears. Amidst the thoughts of the bitter realities of life and the multiple chants of ‘thank you god for all I have’ and praying for a better tomorrow for the country, I saw these bunch of kids walking around in the tiny premises of their small school; not caring about the situation, the poverty, the homeless person eyeing the candies we gave them, not a worry about the future.. It was pure innocence. Carefree. Nonchalant. All about living in the moment.
