5. Bank of China

One of the five biggest state owned commercial banks in the People’s Republic of China, Bank of China was founded in 1912 to replace the imperial bank of china.

It is the oldest bank in mainland China and is headquartered at Xicheng district, Beijing. The bank ‘s origin can be traced back to 1905 when Daqing Hubu bank was established which was later renamed to Daqing bank and finally Bank of China.

Bank of China is China’s most diversified and international bank and provides services to customers across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and 377 countries. The bank provides commercial banking and includes corporate banking, personal banking and financial market services. In corporate banking the bank provides corporate financing like syndicated loan, global credit line, export buyer/supplier credit, trade services, corporate financial services like cash management, RMB settlement services, corporate demand and term deposits and other services like cross border cash management. Personal banking includes services like wealth management, accounts, loans, debit/credit cards.
