Subaru of America is the USA based distributor of Subaru brand of vehicles.
Subaru is the automobile manufacturing arm of the conglomerate Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) which is headquartered at Tokyo, Japan and was founded in the year 1953. Fuji Heavy Industries is in the business of manufacturing and selling automobiles, aircrafts, industrial machines and engine parts. Subaru of America was established in 1968 in Philadelphia but its current headquarter is at Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Its product portfolio includes Subaru automobiles and Toyota automobiles which are assembled under contractual agreement between Subaru and Toyota. Some of its current models include BRZ, Levorg, Exiga, Forestor, Dex, Trezia. Fuji Heavy Industries has approximately 28,545 employees worldwide. FHI is ranked at #423 in the Forbes global 2000 list. In April 2015, Subaru of America has sold 47,241 units in USA which is 17.86% more as compared to units sold in April 2014. As of May 2015, FHI's market capitalization is $26.8 Billion.
