Time Warner Cable was formed in 1990 as a merger of Time Inc., American Television & Communication Corp. and Warner Cable (a division of Time Warner Communications).

It is headquartered in New York, U.S. Mr. Robert Marcus is the current CEO for the company. It operates in 29 states of U.S and has 31 operating divisions. Time Warner Cable formed a totally independent company only in 2009 when it ceased to operate as subsidiary to its parent company, Time Warner. For last two years broadcasting giant Comcast had shown its interest to acquire TWC but recently it terminated its merger agreement with the company. Time Warner Cable’s broadband division provides services to approximately 70 million people across 29 states. TWC’s services include video, high-speed data and voice services. It provides all its services through its broadband cable systems. Navisite Inc. is its wholly owned subsidiary that helps it to outsource IT and cloud services. The company also features a huge employee base of around 54,800 employees.
