Founded in 1995 by Stelios Haji- Ioannou and is headquartered at Luton, UK.


Easy Jet is the largest airline in UK in terms of its Passengers volume, passengers uplifted each year, providing domestic and international services. It is second largest in terms of low cost airlines. Airline’s slogan - "Europe by EasyJet”, “business by EasyJet”, “This is Generation EasyJet". Airlines has 226 aircrafts, 675 routes and 24 bases.

Airlines operates across 675 routes in more than 20 countries. Airlines has around 24 operating bases in UK and Europe, major ones include Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gatwick, Liverpool, Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, New Castle , Berlin, schonefeld , Hamburg , Lisbon, Paris Orly etc. Carrier’s fleet size is around 226 consists of Airbus A320 series and Boeing 737 series. Airlines employ around 8000 people with 4500+ cabin crew and 2000 pilots and has flown around 64.8 million passengers in 2014.EasyJet is the largest operator of A319  and has entered a commercial agreement with Transaero airlines.

Needless to say the carrier has won many awards since its inception and gained momentum from 1995 only. It has won Airline of the year 2014, Best Short haul airline, Inflight Sales person of the year award (ISPY), Best mobile booking solution. Recently EasyJet opens its Naples base as part of its Italian expansion plan. EasyJet celebrated world Shakespeare day with world performance record.

Airlines also engages in CSR activities and also aims at minimising the environmental impact. Airlines has a corporate social responsibility to conduct business ethically and in a transparent way. These include anti- bribery, environmental issues, human rights, health and safety. For third year Easy jet’s charity partnership with UNICEF is growing. Its program called ‘Change for Good’ focusses on offering of food and foreign currency to the needy. Customers and employees has helped the airline to raise around 3.9 million pounds for the charity. Other initiatives include customer safety, using AVOID (Airborne Volcanic Object Identifier and Detector) detection technology etc.

The list is based on Number of Passengers uplifted which is calculated by counting each revenue passenger on a particular flight only once and not repeatedly on each individual stage of that flight.

Revenue passengers are the passengers under loyalty programme, frequent flyer, corporate discount etc. i.e. under whose transportation carrier gets a remuneration.
