Delta Air Lines was started as Huff-Daland Dusters in the year 1924 in Georgia, USA.

It got its current name Delta Air Service in the year 1928 and began operations on June 17, 1929. In its current form, the airlines is a result of a number of mergers over 80 years and its predecessors include Northeast airlines, Northwest airlines, Chicago and southern airlines and others. A major American airline, Delta Airlines is headquartered in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, USA (which is also the airlines largest hub). One of the founding members of SkyTeam Airline alliance, Delta also has three international hubs in Paris, Amsterdam and Tokyo. The carrier offers SkyMiles program to its frequent fliers.
