Vodafone Hutchison Telecommunications Limited was formed in 2009 as a result of the merger between Vodafone Australia and Hutchison 3G Australia.
The joint venture entity is owned by Vodafone group and Hutchison Telecommunications Australia on a 50-50 basis. The merger resulted in the creation of an entity of around 7 million subscribers. Headquartered at North Sydney the joint venture operates two brands- Vodafone and Crazy John’s in Australia. The merger resulted in coming together of 3 and Vodafone and resulted in greater choice of products and services availability to customers at more affordable prices. The combined global expertise, support, research and development facilities and scale of the owners helped the joint venture offer best possible services to the customers.
