Vocus Communications was founded in March 2008 by James Spenceley, who is also Vocus’s current Chief Operating Officer.
Vocus was listed in the Australian Stock Exchange in the year 2010 and has reached its’ present form through acquisition of companies like E3 Networks (2010), Perth iX (2011), Digital River Networks, Maxnet Limited and Ipera Communications. Vocus Communications Limited is headquartered in North Sydney and builds data network in Australia, Asia, New Zeeland and America. The company operates a network that connects Australia and New Zeeland to the global Internet backbone in the United States and provides services to Internet Service Providers and telecommunications market using the domestic network. The company has three networks- Vocus New Zeeland Network, Vocus Australian Network and Vocus Global Network. Vocus Australian network helps design solutions that are highly scalable and highly available.
A range of services are provided by Vocus which helps it to meet the data center holding and connectivity requirements for its customers. Vocus product suite includes: Internet Connectivity, Data Centers (owns data centers or operates collocation facilities in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne), Voice (full range of inbound and outbound services) and Dark Fiber.
