Air Berlin PLC & Co. which is usually formalized as ‘Airberlin’ or ‘airberlin.com’ is the second largest airline of Germany after Lufthansa, and also the eighth largest airline of Europe in standings of the number of passengers that they carry.

The airline's grid contains an aggregate of 17 German metropolises including selected European urban and numerous holiday endpoints in the Mediterranean area, Madeira, the Canary Islands and North Africa, as well as intercontinental endpoints in the Caribbean islands and also the Americas. Its centers are the Berlin-Tegel Airdrome and the Düsseldorf Airport. It is based at the Airport Agency Center at Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Berlin, is currently an affiliate of the One-world association and owns the firms ‘NIKI’ in Austria and ‘Belair’ in Switzerland. Air Berlin has been non-profitable for a number of years. In the month of March 2007, Air Berlin acquired German vacation carrier LTU, gaining admission to the long-haul marketplace and becoming the fourth main air company in Europe in positions of customer traffic. ‘Air Berlin PLC’ stocks are openly traded on ‘Xetra’ and also on the Frankfurt Exchange in the controlled market.
