Virgin Media provides quad play services in UK which include TV, broadband, mobile and fixed telephone.
It is now a part of Liberty Global, an international television and telecommunications company. The company was formed in 2006 from the merger of Telewest and NTL. It has its own fibre optic network in the UK. Its broadband division brings together NTL’s cable broadband operations, virgin.net and Blueyonder. For its mobile network, it has a MVNO contract with EE to use its infrastructure to deliver the services. It also offers land line telephone service and is a major player in that after British Telecom. Its flagship TV service in only second to Sky and it is the largest provider of on demand content. Chairman of the company is James Mooney and the CEO is Tom Mockridge.
