Here is a list of the top 10 newspapers in India 2015. India is one of the largest democracies in the world, and a hub for engineers, doctors, management graduates and much more. Even though the overall literacy rate is quite low, owing to the huge population, the total number of people reading newspapers is huge. India has not only newspapers in Hindi and English, but even the regional language newspapers are in tremendous demand.


10. Lokmat

Lokmat means ‘People’s opinion’ and is a Marathi language newspaper.

It is headquartered in Mumbai. Lokmat has 11 marathi editions in Maharashtra. Mr. Vijay Darda is the Editor in Chief of this newspaper. He is the former President of the INS (Indian Newspaper Society). Main sections of this newspaper include local, Maharashtra, National, International, Sports and Agriculture. Besides, there are some special sections which appear on certain days. Lokmat went into TV with a 50-50 joint venture with IBN. The joint venture operates a 24x7 marathi news and current affairs TV channel. It was founded by Jawaharlal Darda.
