National Westminster Bank Plc, also known as NatWest, is the biggest retail and commercial bank in UK, founded in 1968.
Since 2000, NatWest has been a part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group which is also ranked among the top ten biggest banks in the world in terms of assets. It was established in 1968 by merging National Provincial Bank (founded in 1833 as National Provincial Bank (England) and Westminster Bank (founded in 1834 as London County and Westminster Bank). Originally considered as one of the most popular clearing banks (big Four), NatWest has a wide network of around 1,600 branches and around 3,400 cash machines across United Kingdom and offers a 24 hour Actionline telephonic and online banking services. Currently, it has around 7.5 million personal customers and around 850,000 small business accounts. Also, In Ireland NatWest operates through its subsidiary (Ulster Bank). At present, Ross McEvan is the CEO and there are around 33,300 employees working for it.
