Vale is Brazilian multinational metal and Mining Corporation. It is the third largest mining company in the world.

Vale is also the largest producer of iron ore, pellets and second largest of nickel. It also produces ferroalloys, manganese, copper, bauxite, potash, kaolin, alumina and aluminum. Vale was privatized in 1997. To reduce the cost and risk of mining, Vale operates in energy and logistics sectors as well.
