It has over 80 brands with brands such as Jolly Rancher, Ice Breaker, Hershey’s Reese etc. Hershey’s enjoys 15.5% of US Non-chocolate market share following Mars. The product division include chocolate and confectionery products, gum and mint refreshment products, and pantry items such as baking ingredients, toppings and beverages. They have many chocolate products like Hershey’s chocolate bars, Almond Joy, Hershey’s Symphony, Mounds, 100 calorie bar, Hershey’s Resse, Hershey’s kisses. Hershey’s confectionary products are primarily in bar, bag or box format.
Both Mass merchandizers and Supermarkets contribute more than 50% of the sales. Hershey has global footprint in many countries and major contribution is by Japan, china, Brazil, South Korea, Philippines, India, Mexico. Hershey’s has hit the sweet spot by six sigma in 2006. Adopting this methodology, company has been able to reduce standard deviations in operations and supply chain management.
