7. Sbarro

Sbarro is the seventh largest pizza chains in the world. It is known for its New York style pizzas and Italian-American cuisines.

It was founded by Gennaro and Carmela Sbarro in 1956, wh are basically immigrants from Italy. They started opening their outlets in Brooklyn which became famous for its fresh food and cheaper fares. One of their busiest outlets is located in WTC mall. It was rated #1 in the Italian segment by QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) Magazine several times.

Though the pizza chain claimed bankruptcy within one year since its operations, it slowly regained ground and is currently doing well. They have recently opened their franchisee restaurants in Maharasthra, India in agreement with Upper Crust Foods Pvt. Ltd. They are also famous for Neapolitan-style pizzas available in their signature Cucinova Urban Italian restaurants.
