8. Lenovo (Miix, Yoga)

Lenovo is a multinational computer technology company with its headquarters located in Beijing, China and also in Morrisville, North Carolina, USA.

The main product lines of Lenovo are PCs, tablets, smartphones, servers, electronic storage devices and smart televisions. It is the largest personal computer vendor in the world by sales in 2014. In April 2014, Lenovo announced the launch of several tabs including Lenovo Tab A7-30, Lenovo Tab A8 and Lenovo Tab A10 tablets.

In January 2015, Lenovo launched a budget tablet TAB 2 A7-10 to be sold exclusively on Snapdeal. The tabled is priced at Rs. 5000 and is claimed to have an all-day battery life. Having a display of 7 inches it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor. The tablet contains built in apps that will facilitate easy transfer of files and synchronisation of contacts.

In February 2015, Lenovo launched the Yoga Tablet 2 Pro in India. It runs on the Intel Atom processor and has an 8 inch display with 1080p resolution. It also has an in-built projector, an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.6 MP front camera. It runs on Android and is priced at Rs. 49,490. Following the Make in India initiative started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lenovo has shown interest in setting up manufacturing facilities in the country to make smartphones and tablets.

In March 2015, Lenovo launched two new Android tablets namely the Tab 2 A10-70 and Tab 2 A8. It also launched a Windows based tablet the Ideapad Miix 300. The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with an Android upgrade in June whereas the Lenovo Tab 2 A8 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
