Samsung is a South Korean multinational company that is headquartered in Seoul.
It is a conglomerate and comprises a large number of subsidiaries and affiliated businesses. The industrial subsidiaries of Samsung include Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung Electronics, Samsung Engineering and Samsung C&T. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is Samsung’s range of tablet computers powered by Android. The first model was the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab that was launched in September 2010.
In April 2014, Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab4 tablet series which became available in the second quarter of 2014. The Galaxy Tab4 series comprised of Galaxy Tab4 7.0, Galaxy Tab4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab4 10.1 tablets. All of the three run Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and are powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor alongside 1.5 GB of RAM. The tabs sport a 3 MP rear camera and a 1.3 MP front camera. All of them also sport the same resolution. The tabs come with a storage space of 16GB.
In early 2015, Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Then, in March it launched three new tablets in Malaysia and Russia. Out of three new tabs, two of them belong to the Galaxy Tab A Series having different screen sizes and the third one falls under the Galaxy Tab 3 family. The Galaxy Tab A 8-inch model is priced at RUB 16,990 and RUB 18,990 for the Wi-Fi version. The 9.7-inch model costs RUB 20,990. Both the tabs feature a 4:3 screen aspect ratio and are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. The 16GB storage space is also expandable to 128GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 V runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and features a 7-inch LCD display with a 16:9 screen ratio.
