1. Apple

Apple Inc. tops the list this year as well. It was founded in 1976 by the legendary personality Steve Jobs in association with his friends Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne.

It is headquartered in Apple Campus, Cupertino, California, US. As we all know, this innovation giant is currently headed by Tim Cook after the demise of Steve Jobs who has been handling releases past iPhone 5 series.

The market capitalization of this multinational corporation is $521.34 billion as of March 2016.

Apple holds an amazing share of 54.9% in the   total global mobile web usage. Apple watch won one of the world’s most prestigious design awards, the iF Design Gold Award. Apple also received a tech Emmy award for creating an eco-system for the Real Time broadcast of TV Content to Mobile Devices without using any harmful Specialized Television Hardware. This ecosystem is suspected to be the iconic iCloud by Apple. Some of the recent acquisitions by the company includes Semetric - music analysis firm, LinX – Camera manufacturer, Metaio - Augmented reality firm, VocalIQ - Speech tech firm, Faceshift - Motion Capture firm, Emotient - Facial recognition system, LearnSprout - Education Software and Flyby Media - Augmented reality software. As a rare move, Apple has invested $1 billion in Chinese ride-hailing service Didi Chuxing to compete with Uber Technologies’ Inc. in China. This was done to understand the Chinese market better to generate more sales.

3) The companies were then ranked based on the highest composite score of normalizations.
