Hero MotoCorp, formerly known as Hero Honda is an Indian motorcycle and scooter manufacturer with headquarters in New Delhi.
It was founded in 1984 as Hero Honda by joint venture of Hero Cycles and Honda which lasted till 2011. Its two wheelers are manufactured across four manufacturing facilities namely Gurgaon and Dharuhera (In state of Haryana) as well as in Haridwar (In state of Uttarakhand) and Neemrana (In state of Rajasthan).
It is the largest two wheeler manufacturer in India and is the most admired motorcycle company. Its success rests on its ability to expand continuously and reach new markets and geographies.
Its dealerships as well as service & spare parts outlets are spread across the country. It mainly manufacturers motorcycles in less than 250cc segment that is mainly for people who commute daily for various purposes.
Its product portfolio includes bikes such as Karizma and Xtreme (Sporty segment) as well as Splendor, Deluxe, Dawn, Passion and Glamour which are the most sought after bikes in the 125cc commuter segment. Hero bikes are mainly popular for its light weight and fuel efficiency and this is the reason why it is most preferred of all. It mostly borrows its technology from Japanese motorcycle makers and leverage this to utilize in their motorcycles.
