Michael Schumacher is incomparable in Formula 1.A seven time winner of the prestigious drivers’ championship, Schumacher had been the face of F-1 for over a decade and is still the champion that present drivers want to emulate. Known for his attention to detail,’Schumi’ won a record seven world championships and was instrumental in the revival of the legendary Ferrari team,with which he won five of his seven titles.

Michael Schumacher has been highly protective of his family. His tendency  to keep his private life private has earned him praise from all quarters. Schumacher has been hailed a national hero in Germany due to his exploits in F-1,and he is equally beloved in Italy owing to his long association with the Ferrari team. Schumacher’s meticulous preparation and attention to detail has made him a role model and the tag of ‘winner’ is routinely associated with him, making him a hot target for endorsement deals.His work for underprivileged children and his association with UNESCO are a testament to his philanthropic side.


Schumacher has been accused of aggressive driving and using questionable  tactics to ward off rivals on the track. His twin crashes in the final races of the  1994 and 1997 seasons, where he allegedly tried to take out his closest challengers for the title have  seen him receive a lot of brick bats. He was also booed by his own fans after  team decision forced his teammate Rubens Barrichello to relinquish top position in Schumacher’s favour at the 2002 Austrian Grand Prix.Another black mark in his career is his return to F-1 in 2010 after originally retiring in 2006.Schumacher failed to win a podium position from 2010-12 which has been credited as having tainted his legacy.
