Glamour, Money, Fame, Power - Public Relations

The people around world are interested to hear answer of only one question, what are they doing? The answer of this question is also easily available, whether it is favourable for celebrity and business tycoon or unfavourable, and this all flow of information between individual, organization or public is managed and practised by a public relation (PR). The focus of a PR is to expose the clients toward its audience by using topic of public interest, as mentioned above “what are they doing”. It is a non paid form of communication, usually called as “publicity stunt” which usually intensify the reputation of clients.

As the title suggest, glamour, money, fame, power is all handed by a PR consultant who would guide you in planning and strategizing your communication for your audience, competitors, clients and public at large. They also help to establish any brand and become credible in the eyes of media and public, in short they are the reputation protectors.

For example, Taylor Swift has carefully crafted and maintained her “good girl” image since day one. She is someone honest in song, the anti of rehab lover-Lindsay Lohan, and more reluctant towards meat dress wearing Lady Gaga. By controlling her message, action and body language she has built an almost unflappable public image. Even when she seeks revenge by calling out people in her songs, she still comes off as the “good girl.” Bottom line: Without a solid PR strategy, Swift would not be as successful as she is now. She handles interviews with so well expertise that exceeds her till now.

So what if you want to loco mote in this carrier and want to become the reputation protector and image creator, if you pursue excellent communication skill. Than you can heighten your skill by meliorating masters in media and advertising qualification. In this way you can improve your tactical, communication, and counselling skills. After occupying sufficient knowledge you can execute an interview with PR agency and become a part of it. The nature of PR needs to have excellent media relations and also to build network, network, and network. It also enhances the orations skills, managing events, and also establishes corporate identity.

There are assorted roles varied for a PR,

• Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies

• Liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople and public

• Answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations.

• Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.

• Writing and editing magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports of clients.

• Preparing and circulating the publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes.

• Organizing events including, exhibitions, press conferences, and press tours.

• Collating and analyzing media coverage and releasing in public.

PR is more than what we can think, if an individual is interested in it, he or she can opt in it. May be your favourite celebrity will hire you one day!
